The complete field guide · Lightning Miner 2.0

Build a farm. Power it. Mine your share.

Lightning Miner is a virtual mining game with real, eligible crypto withdrawals. Collect hardware, place miners on racks, keep your facility powered through site activities, and choose which supported currency to mine.

01 / get started

From new account to active farm

The core loop is simple: place hardware, earn energy, and let your share of the active pool accumulate in your chosen currency.

01

Create your account

Sign up to receive a Starter Node and four Standard Utility Racks already installed in your first room. Each rack has four vertical shelves for miners.

02

Equip your miners

Open Mining Facility and place owned miners on empty rack shelves. Only placed miners contribute mining hashpower; hardware in Inventory is safely stored but does not mine.

03

Choose a currency

Choose the crypto you want to mine on the Dashboard. Your active hashpower and the network total determine your current share of the mining pool.

Turn site activity into mining energy

Energy replaces the old once-a-day recharge. Complete activities whenever you like to keep your installed miners running.

Faucet claim+1 hour
PTC view+½ hour
Shortlink+4 hours
Daily Bonus+6 hours
Daily quest+2 hours
Minigame run+1 hour
Offerwall+2–8 hours
Purchased energy cell+24 / 48 / 72 hours

Activity energy has no daily earning limit and normally stores up to 48 hours. Purchased energy cells can take you above that cap. Premium members have unlimited mining energy while Premium is active. If energy reaches zero, your miners and balances remain yours; mining pauses until you add energy.

Grow a farm that is yours

Coins, crates, racks, quests, and your layout all feed the same facility.

Earn and spend coins

Faucet, Daily Bonus, PTC, offerwalls, shortlinks, minigames, quests, referrals, and eligible events can award coins. Spend them in the Shop on miners, crates, racks, and energy cells.

Browse shop →

Use Inventory

See unplaced miners and racks, unopened crates, and unused energy cells in one place. Open crates there, then install your new hardware in Mining Facility.

Open inventory →

Expand your facility

Each room holds up to 16 racks, and every rack holds four miners. Buy more Standard Utility Racks for 100 coins each. Additional rooms unlock with coins at increasing prices.

Manage rooms →

Choose your hardware mix

Racks may add power or energy-efficiency bonuses, and compatible hardware sets can add a disclosed synergy bonus. Miner hashpower is fixed; existing pre-2.0 upgrades were preserved in their owners' permanent output.

Complete quests and the Battle Pass

Quests reward your progress with coins, crates, and other items. The Battle Pass has free and Premium reward tracks, including special facility cosmetics and racks.

Trade earned hardware

Buy and sell eligible earned miners and racks with other players. Listings display each miner's exact H/s or rack bonus. Listing costs 50 coins; sellers receive the sale price minus a 5% fee. Paid miners and starter items are not resellable.

04 / rewards

From mining estimate to wallet

The dashboard shows live activity. Your Wallet shows your saved crypto balances, conversion choices, and available withdrawal routes.

01

Watch your live estimate

While powered, the Dashboard estimates earnings for your selected currency. This on-screen number can change as pool conditions and your active equipment change.

02

Let earnings settle

The server periodically finalizes eligible mining into saved balance. Important actions, including changing currencies and requesting a withdrawal, also settle the previous mining window first.

03

Use your Wallet

Withdraw eligible settled balances using the methods available for that currency, including FaucetPay, BTC Lightning, direct Bitcoin, CXL Wallet, and Lightning Quest transfers where supported. Minimums and fees are shown there.

How the numbers really work

Keep this section handy when a live number changes, a reward lot expires, or your estimated rate moves.

Live balance vs. settled balance

Your live mining balance is an estimate of unsettled earnings. It can be recalculated after a refresh, reconnection, currency switch, energy change, or settlement. Your settled balance is the server-recorded amount in your Wallet. The system checkpoints mining roughly hourly and on important account actions, including switching currency, claiming relevant rewards, converting mined crypto to coins, and requesting a withdrawal.

Normal changes in the pool do not undo finalized mining. Withdrawals, reward reversals, corrections, and account penalties can still change a saved balance. An old tab may continue estimating from stale pool conditions; refreshing updates that estimate, not the finalized amount.

14-day mined balance conversion

Settled mined rewards are tracked in rolling 14-day lots. Rewards earned on different days have separate expiration times, with older lots converting first. Mined crypto not withdrawn within its lot's window converts to coins using the USD value recorded when it was earned.

For example, a reward earned on June 12 reaches its 14-day point on June 26; one earned on June 13 reaches it on June 27. This preserves the earned value as site coins while limiting the long-term price risk of holding many small crypto lots.

How the shared pool works

Your rate is based on your share of active, installed hashpower in the site's mining pool. If you have 100 H/s and the active network total is 1,000 H/s, your share is about 10%. If the active total grows to 2,000 H/s while you stay at 100 H/s, your share becomes about 5%. Miners sitting in Inventory do not count toward either figure.

The site's reward-pool setting and other active users' power can change, so an hourly estimate is not a fixed promise. Placing stronger miners, using qualifying rack or set bonuses, or linking eligible Lightning Quest progress can improve your own share. Site activity can affect the pool, but simply earning coins does not itself add mining hashpower.

Why your hourly rate changes

The Dashboard rate reflects the current active pool and selected currency. It can move when your energy expires or is replenished, when equipment is placed or removed, when other players' facilities turn on or off, when a bonus changes, or when site pool settings or crypto prices change. A higher personal hashpower improves your share compared with not adding it, but the visible rate may still move if the network changes at the same time.

What to remember

Place miners on racks to produce hashpower. Keep energy available to mine. Live earnings are estimates; settled Wallet balances are server-recorded. Mined crypto has rolling 14-day conversion windows. Withdraw only through the routes and limits shown in your Wallet. If a saved balance still looks wrong after refreshing, contact support@lightningminer.com with your account email, currency, and approximate time.
